Q: What do you offer?
A: A 2 gig pop 3 email account plus webmail and forwarding and anti spam, that you can use for your BVD BTD business, or indeed sending or receiving email for anything you like
The format is:
'yourname@bigvaluedepot.co (that is just .co - it's the new international domain extension)
" yourname" can be yourname, your.name, your-name, your_name or any business or other name
Q: Which Email programs can I use?
A: You can use virtually any mail client programme, such as Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express, Netscape Messenger or Eudora Light etc.

Q: How long will it take to set up my email address?
A: This usually takes 1 to 2 working days from us receiving your request for us to proceed.
Q: Your email extension ends .me.uk - Does this mean that your service is just for UK residents or is your email and URL forwarding service available Worldwide?
A: Absolutely, anyone can join, no matter where in the world you live
Q: Can I choose any username I want?
A: You can have any user name, so long as it is not already taken by another member and it meets the usual criteria for email naming.
Q: Will there be sponsored adverts on my emails?
A: Absolutely not! We could not even if we wanted to. We cannot open or access your email in any way at all and we therefore cannot place adverts on it or in it!
Q: Can I change my email address after I join with you?
A: To do this you would first need to check if your new required name is available, then cancel your old name and start a new 12 month term. (if you cancel within 14 days, there will be no charge. You could then implement your new name)
Q: Why should I use your email services, rather than somebody elses?
A: Our services are geared towards Big Ticket Depot and Big Value Depot promoters generally. If you are actively promoting your BTD or BVD business, you may wish to use our services to gain a more recognisable personal identity.
barbara@bigvaluedepot.co is a much more memorable branded email name than say for example, barbara_268@hotmail.com
You could and should of course look at other options, if you can get a domain name with them that you want. Expect to pay between $5 to $10 a month for hosting services. You may need to pay an additonal fee for your required domain name.
Q: who will be the provider for my email service?
A: The provider is 1 and 1. http://www.oneandone.co.uk
They are an extremely reliable, leading worldwide Internet and email service provider with a guaranteed 99.9% uptime.
Q: How big is my email quota:
A: Each mailbox has a quota of 2 GB or about 100,000 e-mails. However, no single e-mail can be larger than 100 MB.
Please note mass emailing/spam could cause a problem for the rest of the service and other members, and should be avoided, or you could lose this service.
Q: How will you set my account up initially?
A: We will provide you with your requested username, pop 3 or IMAP and SMTP set up information and a basic standard password which we highly recommend that you must change immediately!

Note! Once changed, your password will then only be known to you. We will not know it.
What are the POP 3 and SMTP settings that I need?

To send e-mail using the SMTP-Server, activate SMTP Authentication.
Please do not use the Secure Password Authentication (SPA) option.

A: Yes, to enable this feature, log on to webmail:

Q: How much does your email service cost?
A: $11.99 per 2 Gigabyte email address, per year.
If you check, you will see that this is extremely competitve v. other services. .
Q: How do I make Payment?
A: We only accept Paypal. We never see your card details. Your security and Privacy is assured.
Your payment will be billed automatically once a year, unless you cancel. You can cancel your account at any time but you will forfeit any unused portion of the 12 month Paypal billing period. However, we will offer a full refund if you cancel within the first 14 days of joining.
Q: How do I cancel?

You will then not be billed for any future due annual payments.
